This trailer hitch for BMW F10, F10, F11, F11 features a removable ball head that sets it apart from the competition. One of its main features is the trailer stability control, a system integrated into the vehicle's standard Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which takes into account the special driving conditions with a trailer to increase safety. For this reason, the installation of this accessory is always accompanied by the coding of the control electronics by the dealer.
In addition, this trailer hitch has the ability to deactivate any electronic parking aids that are present when reverse gear is engaged in trailer mode. This trailer stability control is activated via the socket assignment at the rear of the vehicle. However, it is important to note that the installation of this part is not possible on 5 Series Touring vehicles with: Continuously Variable Transmission, Open Emergency Vehicle, Camouflaged Emergency Vehicle or Integral Active Steering.
