From the racetrack straight to the street. The lightweight sports exhaust system, made entirely of titanium, generates a deep and powerful sound. It was specially designed for the M 5 Series models. Aesthetically, the two 92 mm double tailpipes made of polished titanium with the M logo give it an unmistakable and striking appearance. The perforated inner pipes display a high level of high-tech and sportiness and highlight the individual characteristics of the BMW M. The optimised exhaust gas routing with reduced back pressure reinforces the characteristic sound of the V8 Twin Turbo and accentuates the sporty driving feeling. The silencer system was developed using the most advanced CAD and FEM technology and is a cooperative project between BMW and Akrapovic. This guarantees an optimum fit and manufacturer quality. The silencer system can be easily installed using screws, without the need for welding.
Light Weight: The titanium muffler system is 28% (10kg) lighter than the stock part.
Due to the material property of titanium, the exhaust pipe covers will discolor yellowish/blueish with increasing temperature load.
